Student & Family Ministry

Our most recent Student Newsletter can be found here. (Updated 04/19/2024)

JH/HS Bible Classes. Teachers in our youth program are dedicated to imparting biblical truth and principles into the hearts and minds of our young people. Both textual and topical studies are Bible-based. Teachers work closely with our Student & Family Minister and must have a love for young people and be able to relate to them.

Huddles. Adult couples in this ministry teach and mentor a small group of junior high or high school students over the course of a school year on Wednesday evenings.  The Student & Family Ministry provides direction and discussion questions for adult leaders. Huddle leaders must love young people and be willing to be open to sharing their own spiritual journey.

Special Youth Events and Services. Student ministry provides various opportunities to serve God by serving others. Current student ministry events include a junior high summer trip, junior high community service projects, high school mission trips, retreats, and other special mission trips. Adult volunteers are needed to serve as drivers, sponsors, help with food preparation, and other tasks.

Monday Lunch Ministry. University provides Monday lunch for CHS juniors and seniors in our Family Activity Center. Volunteers plan, prepare and serve food in an effort to reach out to high school students who otherwise might not come to other programs.

Christian Camping. Our young people attend a variety of Christian camps, with a majority attending Camp Blue Haven near Las Vegas, New Mexico. CBH is a camp with a full-time summer staff and highly qualified Bible teachers.
