What Should I Expect When I Visit?

  • How should I dress?
Many people wonder how they should dress when visiting a new church. We want you to dress in a way that you’ll be comfortable. You’ll find people at University dress all different ways … blue jeans to suits!
  • Parking
Ample parking is available in our north and south parking lots. We have designated parking for the elderly who have mobility challenges.
  • Kids
Children are a valued part of our church! We provide Sunday school classes for children from birth through high school. During worship services, we have an attended nursery for children through two years old, as well as a cry room. Children are encouraged to sit with their parents during worship … sometimes this makes for a louder worship service but we believe the experience of worshiping as a family is worth it!
  • Contemporary or traditional?
Most people find University traditional in its style of worship, but not afraid to try new ways of doing things, while sticking to scriptural truth. Our worship services consist of a cappella singing (with a mix of traditional hymns and more contemporary praise music), Scripture reading, prayer, and preaching and teaching from the Bible. Communion, a celebration of the  death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, is served weekly and is a central focus of our services.
  • Should I worry about giving?
Our weekly contributions are given by University members to help fulfill the obligations that are outlined in our annual budget. If you are our guest, feel free to give but don’t feel obligated to do so.
  • Where do I sit?
Wherever there’s an open seat! We’ll ask you to fill out a Visitor’s Card so we can thank you for attending worship service with us.
